Improved Learning

With the help of our strategic partners, Save the Children and the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, the construction of Matau Primary School was completed in early 2014. We have also improved learning conditions by constructing a preschool center, playground, two teachers’ houses, a borehole for clean water, new latrines, a hand washing station, and five new classrooms painted and equipped with locally made desks and chairs.

The completion of the rebuilding of Matau Primary School is only the beginning. The Tererai Trent International Foundation aims to rebuild ten more schools, six primary schools and four secondary schools in rural Zimbabwe over the next ten years, in partnership with both local and international organizations.

TTI Foundation is consistently supporting improved learning through additional teachers training, providing school supplies and computers, implementing community-wide reading programs and early childhood development programs, to name a few.
